Black Pepper Prawn 黑胡椒虾

Do you know that Prawns are high with the protein and low in calories? Not only that, it also contains very rich Vitamins B-6, B-12.

Here's a simple prawn recipe you can try out! You can deep fry, steam, pan fry or grill.. For this recipe, we poach the prawn first (to reduce oiliness) then stir fry with the seasonings. Hope you like this dish!

 

INGREDIENTS:-

  • 300g MEDIUM SIZED POACHED PRAWN
  • 1 TEASPOON BLACK PEPPER
  • 1 TABLESPOON MINCED GARLIC
  • 2 SLICED SHALLOTS
  • 1 TEASPOON MINCED GARLIC
  • 1 TEASPOON FERMENTED BLACK BEAN SOAKED AND CHOP FINELY
  • 1 TEASPOON SPICY BEAN PASTE
  • ½ TEASPOON FISH SAUCE
  • 1 TEASPOON OYSTER SAUCE
  • 1 TEASPOON DARK SOY SAUCE
  • 50ml CHICKEN STOCK
  • 1 TEASPOON SUGAR
  • CHOPPED CILANTRO
  • CORN STARCH (OPTIONAL)

 

HOW TO COOK:-

  1. HEAT 2 TABLESPOON OIL. STIR FRY GARLIC, SHALLOTS TILL FRAGRANT
  2. ADD IN GINGER, FERMENTED BLACK BEAN, SPICY BEAN PASTE
  3. ADD PRAWNS AND STIR FRY WELL.
  4. ADD BLACK PEPPER, OYSTER SAUCE, FISH SAUCE, CHICKEN STOCK, DARK SOY SAUCE & SUGAR
  5. SPRINKLE CILANTRO WHEN PRAWNS ARE DONE
